On August 23rd, riders from across the globe gathered in Lincoln, Nebraska, to take on the Gravel Worlds — 241.5 kilometers and 3,050 meters of elevation gain across the rolling hills and endless horizons of America’s heartland.
The stakes were high, with +20% points on offer, making this race a pivotal moment in the battle for the overall GES standings.
Men’s Race: Beers and Swenson sprint into history
In one of the most thrilling finales of the season, Matthew Beers (Cape Town, South Africa) outsprinted Keegan Swenson (USA) after nearly seven hours of racing. Both riders crossed the line in 6h58, showcasing the razor-thin margins that define gravel’s biggest contests.
Just behind, Cameron Jones (USA) delivered a breakout performance to secure third place, while Canada’s Adam Roberge finished a close fourth. The top ten was packed with international firepower, including Simen Nordahl Svendsen, Julien Gagne, and Australia’s Brendan Johnston, all navigating the relentless rhythm of Nebraska’s rolling gravel.
Women’s Race: Klöser continues her dominance
The women’s event once again underlined the strength of Europe’s finest. Germany’s Rosa Klöser (Canyon–SRAM zondacrypto) took her third consecutive victory in the Gravel Earth Series, outsprinting Dutch rival Geerike Schreurs (SD Worx–Protime) by just two seconds after nearly eight hours of racing.
Behind them, Switzerland’s Karolina Migon secured the third step of the podium, confirming her consistency in the series. Strong rides from Emily Joy Newsom (PAS Racing) in fourth and Danni Shrosbree in fifth highlighted the depth of the women’s field.
The race also featured impressive performances from seasoned names such as Courtney Sherwell, Cecily Decker, and American stars Lauren De Crescenzo and Lauren Stephens, rounding out a top ten that reflects the truly international nature of Gravel Worlds.
