SAGA GRAVEL 2025: CHALLENGING THE MOUNTAINS OF CHILE
The Gravel Earth Series made its way to South America for Saga Gravel, a spectacular race held in Paredones, O’Higgins, Chile. Riders faced 153 km and more than 3,000 m of elevation gain, a course designed to push every participant to the limit.
Saga Gravel is known for its rugged beauty, remote climbs, and an atmosphere that truly embodies the spirit of gravel racing. The 2025 edition was no exception, offering dramatic scenery and a relentless route that rewarded both power and perseverance.
From the first kilometers, the men’s race broke into small groups on the steep ascents, with the lead constantly changing until the strongest riders emerged in the final sector.
Men’s Results
It was Francisco Kotsakis (Plus Performance Racing) who conquered Saga Gravel, crossing the finish line in 04:56:03 to take a well-deserved victory. Joaquin Plomer (Litoviedobikes) and Andres Tagle (Ironcycling) completed the podium after an intense battle for the top three.

Women’s Results
In the women’s field, Hannah Shell (Vantage Racing) delivered a dominant performance, taking the win in 06:26:53. Fernanda Castro and Aminta Reyes Martinez (Team KM10) rounded out the podium after a demanding day on the bike.

Saga Gravel delivered everything it promised: a wild route through Chile’s mountains, deep gravel climbs, and breathtaking landscapes. Its inclusion in the Gravel Earth Series calendar brought a truly global dimension to the circuit, challenging riders with one of the toughest courses of the season.
