The season rolls on.

The Gravel Earth Series delivered its second chapter of 2026 with The Hills Gravel, a race shaped by sun, speed and decisive solo moves through the Prosecco hills of northern Italy.

Set in Susegana (Treviso), the 124 km course with 1,915 metres of elevation combined relentless climbing with fast gravel sectors, offering a striking contrast to the mud-heavy conditions of the opening round in Girona. This time, riders faced dry terrain, clear skies and a race defined by rhythm, positioning and timing.

Beyond the racing, the landscape once again played a central role. Vineyards, rolling hills and open views framed a course that was as visually powerful as it was physically demanding — a setting that reinforces The Hills as one of the most distinctive stops in the series.

Hartog takes control of the women’s race

Larissa Hartog (Canyon x DT Swiss All Terrain Racing Team) delivered a dominant performance to secure victory in 05:01:45, crossing the line solo after controlling the race from the front.

The Dutch rider showed both strength and composure on a course that required constant pacing, opening a decisive gap that allowed her to take maximum points and further strengthen her position in the overall standings.

Behind her, Erica Magnaldi (UAE Team ADQ) and Elena Hartmann (Privateer) completed the podium after strong and consistent performances throughout the day.

With this result, Hartog consolidates her lead in the Gravel Earth Series ranking, confirming her status as one of the key contenders for the 2026 title.

Lange makes the difference with a long-range attack

In the men’s race, Bradyn Lange (Canyon x DT Swiss All Terrain Racing Team) executed one of the defining moves of the race with a decisive solo attack launched more than 40 kilometres from the finish.

The American rider managed his effort to perfection, holding off the chasing group and crossing the line in 04:21:10 to take the win.

Just seconds behind, Petr Vakoč and Célestin Guillon completed the podium in a tightly contested finish that reflected the intensity of the race.

The aggressive racing and small time gaps highlighted the depth of the field, with multiple riders remaining in contention deep into the final kilometres.

The standings begin to take shape

With two events completed, the Gravel Earth Series standings are beginning to take shape, reflecting both consistency and performance across very different race conditions.

From the mud of Santa Vall to the fast and sunlit terrain of The Hills, riders are already being tested on their ability to adapt. Early leaders such as Larissa Hartog and Bradyn Lange have positioned themselves strongly in the overall classification, but with a long calendar ahead, the fight for the 2026 title remains wide open.
